They often come without warning, and while the immediate and extended family is there to assist, the cost of gas, meals, phone calls, and other unplanned expenses can mount up. Pennies from Heaven has a particular focus which involves providing substantial relief by providing gas cards, meal coupons, phone cards, and other daily needs, that help families focus their attention on helping the sick or injured family member.
