Pennies From Heaven has four programs that allow us to provide logistical and financial aid to family members facing the reality and aftermath of a sudden medical crisis.

The Lighted Tunnel

This program supports family members who are not required to travel outside their local area in order to provide care. Some of the services that Pennies From Heaven provides are cleaning services for the home, purchase of school and computer supplies, acquisition and delivery of groceries, and more.

Miles Away/Hearts Together

Through this program we provide assistance to families that must relocate for necessary medical treatment. Among the services we offer families in crisis are Airfare/Hotel expenses, rental cars, cell phones/pagers, restaurant/gas/phone cards, and more.

My Brother’s Keeper

Medical crises are often particularly difficult when the patient is a child. For the siblings of a seriously ill-child the experience can be extremely stressful. We provide special support for the siblings, those children who truly put the needs of their families above their own. Such children may have reduced opportunities due to the trying circumstances of their families. For these special children whose care and support for their siblings surpasses thoughts of themselves, Pennies From Heaven provides scholarships, sports opportunities, school assistance, hobby camps, and more.

Smile Maker

The stresses attendant upon parents in crisis medical situations cannot be overstated. Parents are often required to reduce unnecessary expenses in order to meet the financial challenges of a medical emergency. In such situations, their own recreation and relaxation options may be reduced to zero. Pennies From Heaven, with your tax-deductible support, provides stress reduction activities for parents and their families dealing with sudden medical emergencies. What most parents take for granted, parents of seriously ill children often can only dream about: dinner out alone, movies, amusement parks, music cds, etc. We provide these things for responsible parents who give so much of themselves for their families.
